EDISON, NJ - Following the recent loss of life in East Brunswick and Edison earlier this week, members of the 18th Legislative District, Senator Patrick Diegnan (D-South Plainfield), Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin (D-East Brunswick), and Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak (D-Edison) released the following statement:

“This week has marked a harrowing time for our community. A number of families have suffered the untimely and tragic loss of their children, and a grandparent, in the span of just a few short days. “We offer our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and classmates that are grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Our hearts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. “It is heartening to see our community come together to show their support to the families that have been impacted by these tragedies. We thank our police and first responders, who put thoughts of their own safety aside and made heroic and selfless efforts to respond to these incidents. Our schools have promptly made counseling and other support services available to the peers of those that we’ve lost.

Our interfaith religious leaders and community members continue to offer support and assistance to the families. We encourage you to continue to share opportunities to assist those in need. Please feel free to contact our offices if we can assist in any way.”
