MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — It’s time to get together, walk, and run for a cure! The 11th Annual Pancreatic Cancer 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Middlesex County Department of Public Safety and Health, Office of Health Services, will be held Saturday, June 15 at 9 am at Roosevelt Park in Edison. Registration begins at 8 am.
All funds raised go directly to the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
“We have so many committed walkers, runners, and volunteers who have helped this event grow over the past 11 years, and I hope that growth will continue in 2019,” said Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios. “This year’s event is dedicated to two people who devoted their time and effort to past events, but sadly lost their battles with pancreatic cancer this winter: Franco Juricic of Highland Park and Bruce Hill of Hopatcong, who will remain in our hearts and our memories.”
“The Board of Chosen Freeholders and I are proud to support the efforts of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey,” said Freeholder Shanti Narra, Chair of the Public Safety and Health Committee. “All walkers, runners, and volunteers are invited to come join us as we work towards a cure.”
Both individuals and teams are welcome. Registration for the 5K run is $25 online and $30 on the day of the race per participant. For the walk, registration is $15 per participant. Register online at: http://raise.rutgers.edu/panwalk2019
