MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - When a local student went for some extra support in math last week, the teacher assaulted the student inside the commercial location in which the tutoring took place.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Fred Travener of the Plainsboro Police Department said today that a math tutor in Plainsboro has been arrested and charged with inappropriately touching a 15-year old student.

 

Suresh Rawal, 65, of East Windsor was arrested on July 31, 2019,   and charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact in the third degree, one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree, and one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree.

Rawal was charged during an investigation by Detective Daniel Kanaley of the Plainsboro Police Department and Detective Linda Infusino of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

 

The investigation determined that on July 28, 2019, Rawal inappropriately touched a 15-year-old during a tutoring session. The contact took place at his place of business, the KASR Capital Academy, located at 666 Plainsboro Road – Suite 1175 in Plainsboro.

 

He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick pending his initial court appearance today.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Rawal are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
