EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- Five members of the East Brunswick girls soccer team were named to the Greater Middlesex Conference All-Red Division team, including three who were selected as overall all-GMC honorees.
Julia Gill, Alyna Negron and Madison Mandleur all were selected to the All-GMC team. Gill, a junior forward, finished with 20 goals and six assists this season. Negron, a senior who played both midfield and up front, totaled eight goals and eight assists. Mandleur, a junior midfielder, passed out 11 assists and scored two goals.
Additionally, Isabella Martillo and Emma Simpson of East Brunswick were selected to the GMC's All-Red Division team. Martillo, a junior midfielder, had seven goals and seven assists. Simpson, a junior back, anchored an East Brunswick defense that posted 12 shutouts in its last 13 games.
East Brunswick finished with a 16-2-1 record that included a GMC Tournament championship.
