EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- East Brunswick built an eight-point lead after one quarter and went on to a 51-46 girls basketball victory over Spotswood on Saturday.

Brianna Sliwinski scored 23 points, including 11 from the foul line, for the Bears (3-3), who led, 17-9, after one quarter. Spotswood pared that margin to just two by halftime, but East Brunswick buit the lead back to 36-30 going into the final quarter.

Erin Cosio sank three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points for East Brunswick. Allison Clarke of Spotswood hit four 3-pointers and totaled 18 points.
