EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The East Brunswick girls basketball team completed a split of the Brunswick Classic with a 39-36 victory over North Brunswick on Saturday.

After falling behind, 10-6, after the first quarter, the Bears (2-2) rallied with a 12-4 surge to take an 18-14 halftime lead, then continued to extend their lead by outscoring the Raiders, 15-7, in the third quarter for a 33-21 lead.

Brianna Sliwinski scored 11 points and Sophia Jorgenson finished with eight points for East Brunswick, which salvaged the split of the two-day showcase after losing to Union Catholic on Thursday.
