MONROE, NJ - Playing just its second game of the abbreviated season, the East Brunswick girls soccer team defeated Monroe on Tuesday, 2-0.

Madison Mandleur and Riya Kunderan each scored for the Bears (2-0), who had a 1-0 halftime lead. Isabella Martillo and Kayla Reed had the assists for East Brunswick.

Ariel Salaman made three saves for the Bears, who outshot Monroe, 9-3. East Brunswick was slated to play at home against South Brunswick on Thursday.
