EDISON, NJ -- The East Brunswick girls tennis team completed its undefeated season with a 4-1 victory over Moorestown Friends of South Jersey to win its first NJSIAA Tournament of Champions crown in 11 years on Wednesday.

Moorestown Friends (21-1) came into the match unbeaten, as well, but the Bears (20-0) won two singles matchups and both doubles matchups to claim the title.

East Brunswick had defeated Kent Place, 3-2, on Tuesday in the semifinals after recording a 5-0 first-round T of C victory over Leonia on Sunday. East Brunswick reached the Tournament of Champions by winning the state Group 4 title last week.
