The History Behind Manahopkin:

The Manahopkin Craft Beer and Music Fest is a golden opportunity for visitors from near and far to sample the finest in craft brews from around the country, food from an impressive array of food vendors and trucks and music from the best musicians around. It takes place in a lovely, lakeside setting where family and friends can kick back, relax and enjoy the day under the sun or shady trees.

However, to many Stafford Township families it means much more. All proceeds from the event benefit the Stafford PBA’s Holiday Toy and Coat Drive. In these difficult economic times, many in Stafford Township struggle to make ends meet. Each year, we hear heartbreaking stories of parents forced to choose between holiday gifts and putting food on the table. One little boy simply wanted a lawnmower for his father. One mother tearfully related that all her son wanted was food for a holiday meal. Two loving parents lost their jobs just weeks before the holidays and were unable to pay their bills, let alone buy gifts for their children. The family of a little girl fighting cancer was looking for a way to ease her pain and fear, if only for a little while. Thanks to the great success of this popular event, the Stafford Township PBA is able to grant the wishes of these deserving children. The money raised helps to provide toys and gifts for children, bikes, clothing, and warm winter coats, scarves, gloves, and boots. The profound gratitude of parents desperate to brighten their childrens’ holidays is heartwarming and motivates us all to work harder to reach more children in need each year.
