MORRISTOWN, NJ- Dawn Kerestan, 48 of Morristown has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a westbound NJ transit train on Friday December 30 near the Morristown train station, said authorities.

At 6:09 p.m., "a female trespasser" was struck and killed by a westbound train en route to Dover, stated NJ Transit authorities.  Service on Track 1 was suspended pending an investigation and all passengers were transferred to another train.  Track 2 remained open Friday evening but delays of up to 30 minutes were reported in both directions. NJ Transit reported that the strike did not injure any of the passengers and crew members on board.
