EAST HANOVER, N.J.- First responders were called to the Hanover Cemetery early Tuesday, when a worker was reported pinned under a vault at the bottom of a grave. Peter Ferencze was digging the grave, when a burial vault fell into the hole, pinning him in the open grave.

Rescue workers, including police EMT fire fighters and department of public works worked with straps to manually lift the nearly 800 pound slab, to free Ferencze. He, along with another worker, was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the cemetery. A full investigation is to follow.
