EAST HANOVER, N.J.- As a senior athlete, senior night has great meaning and is often the last regular season game in front of a home court crowd.  Hanover Park senior guard Mike Boeckel's senior night is one he and the fans will not soon forget.

The team took the court already in the zone, knowing Boeckel was only nine points from hitting the 1000 point mark. That moment came with three minutes left in the first quarter, fueling the 76-51 win over West Morris. He was presented with a customized basketball and banner, as the game briefly paused. Boeckel went on to score  a career high 35 points and reached 400 assists. He joins teammates, Matt Windschuch class of 2017 and John Crown class of 2016, to reach 1000 points in consecutive years.

Other court stand-outs include Alex Malofienko, with nine rebounds, seven assists and 17-points, Kyle Junda with three rebounds, three assists and seven points, and Hikmat Sabeh with nine rebounds, a steal and eight points.  This was also win number 75 for Boeckel in his four years with the hornets.
