EAST HANOVER, N.J. –The TJX Companies opened Sierra Trading Post on Route ten in East Hanover. It is the first New Jersey location and its stands between a Home Goods store and HomeSense that also recently opened.

Sierra Trading Post boasts off-price athletic apparel, footwear and outdoor gear. Much like the other TJX companies, the bargain priced merchandise comes from manufacturers and retailers who have excess inventory. It’s a place to find gear for outdoor activities at affordable prices.

The foundation of Sierra Trading Post was on-line retail based in Wyoming in 1999. TJX acquired the company in 2012 with hopes of expanding their online businesses.

The store is 17,700 square feet featuring clothing, footwear, hiking boots and running shoes. There are several incidental items, to make the outdoors fun. There are in-store and online daily deals for every one from cliff divers to outdoor cooks.

This is the first New Jersey location of the 18 Sierra Trading Post with another to open soon in Nanuet, New York.
