FLORHAM PARK, NJ- The New Jersey Association of School Business Officials has recently honored Florham Park’s own John Csatlos with their Distinguished Service Award.
NJASBO’s Distinguished Service Award was created to recognize the long-term, continuous and exemplary service of school business officials throughout the state. Any candidate up for nomination must have a minimum 15 years of service as a school business administrator and must have worked for one school district for a minimum of five years. More than that, the individuals nominated must show a reputation fully deserving of recognition and must be seen as a leader and resource for others.
Each County President of the NJASBO may only nominate up to two candidates from their county every year and each candidate is reviewed by a regional panel. Those chosen will receive a plaque in their honor, recognition from their peers and they will be made eligible for the NJASBO School Business Official of the Year Award. In addition to this, those recognized will receive a $1,000 scholarship that will be presented in their name to a student of their choosing.
“I have worked with several different business administrators and I promise you I have not worked with anyone quite like John,” said Superintendent Melissa Varley. “He is truly dedicated to Florham Park School District and he is willing to help me, the teachers and the students top to bottom to make sure they get what they need.”
Csatlos will be fully recognized with this honor at the NJASBO Annual Conference held in June.
