FLORHAM PARK, NJ - The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of all children and their families in the Florham Park community. However, some families may be more impacted than others. It is because of this that the Florham Park Education Foundation (FPEF) has launched a new initiative called Community Care. Community Care provides support to the children and their families in the Florham Park School District experiencing financial hardship due to the economic impact of the pandemic. If you have a child currently registered in the Florham Park School District and your family is in need of essential supplies, please email giving@fpefnj.org with “FPEF Community Care” the subject line. A member of the FP Education Foundation will contact you to confidentially discuss how the organization may be able to assist your family during this extraordinary time. The FPEF would like to provide this one-time assistance to as many families as possible. For more information, including a list of additional community resources, please see the FPEF website at http://www.fpefnj.org.

Additionally, the FPEF is accepting donations to help support the Community Care initiative. If you are interested in contributing to this important endeavor, you can donate directly at http://www.fpefnj.org or contact fpef.finance@gmail.com.

The Florham Park Education Foundation is a non-profit, public benefit corporation. It is a taxexempt organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The FPEF’s mission is to strengthen public education in the Florham Park School District through advocacy, fundraising, and investment in programs that empower every student to achieve both academic and personal success. “We are happy to play a role in helping our community withstand the impact of the pandemic and grateful to the residents who have contributed to this initiative thus far,” expressed Tasha Bias, the President of FPEF. According to Ms. Bias, the Community Cares initiative is in alignment and consistent with the organization’s mission because if children do not have proper nutrition or basic supplies, they cannot learn.
