FLORHAM PARK, NJ- Florham Park Little League Baseball will be holding its final day of registration this Saturday, January 14th. The registration will take place at the Florham Park Recreation Center from 2pm-3pm.
Signups are strictly in-person registration only for the 2017 Little League season and this will be the final day offered to willing participants. To register all participants must complete a Registration form as well as a Medical Form. These forms will be provided at the recreation center, but can also be downloaded ahead of time and filled out to expedite the enrollment process.
In addition to the Registration and Medical Forms, all new players hoping to register must provide proof of residency such as a utility bill or license. You will also need a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate to complete the process and all documents must be provided on the day of registration.
The registration fees vary based upon the age of the age of the child registering. Children ages four and five are eligible for Wee Ball and will incur a fee of $75. Kids registering ages six through eight will be in Single or Double A and both will require a fee of $100. Finally, Kids aged nine through 14 will see a $150 fee and will be placed in either Triple A, Majors or Juniors.
Anyone still interested in registering to be a volunteer coach must submit a 2017 volunteer application form with a Social Security Number for required Little League background checks. They must additionally obtain a Morpho Trak background check as required by the Borough of Florham Park. Any volunteer coaches must also have attended a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. clinic. One will be provided by the Florham Park Recreation Department on February 21st for any volunteers who have not participated before.
