Florham Park Native Wins Dream Trip with New York Jets to Upcoming Game against San Francisco

FLORHAM PARK, NJ- Lifelong New York Jets supporter and Florham Park native Victoria Dammer won the trip of a lifetime for any fan. She will be packing her bags and spending this weekend surrounded by the elite football players of the New York Jets as she flies across country with the team to watch them take on the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.

“I entered the contest through my Jets Reward Plan,” Dammer said excitedly. “Five days after Thanksgiving I was notified through my email that I won the event. We fly out with the team on their charter plane to San Francisco and attend a dinner party that Saturday night. Sunday we have tickets to the game and we get to go out on the field beforehand. Then we fly back with the team on Sunday night.”

This trip in particular became a great opportunity for Dammer. She and her guest, also a native of Florham Park, will be able to see a close friend of theirs that now resides in the Golden State. Of course, it’s not every day a fan gets to board a charter jet that holds their favorite sports team either, and Dammer takes great pride in always supporting her hometown team.

“My father had season tickets since 1967,” Dammer went on to say. “I really started getting into the games when I was 14 and I have been going ever since. I’ve been able to go to all of these great activities like the draft party and I always enter the sweepstakes to go onto the field or be a flag holder. I use my season tickets to try to get more involved. It’s something I love.”

For a lifelong fan, there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to a trip like this. Dammer thinks she is most excited to just be with the players and to see them up close.

“I think actually seeing the players is most exciting,” Dammer said. “I mean you see them on the field but they’re in their own element and in their own world. I think it’s really cool to see them up close and personal, especially the players that are not going to be here next year.”

This weekend trip will surely be one to remember for Dammer. She exemplified her excitement the best when she said, “I can’t even believe I won. I can’t believe it. I’m excited, but I’m sure when I’m on the plane, I’m going to be freaking out. I mean I’ll be traveling with the Jets!”

Dammer also happens to be a frequent columnist for several TAPinto news sites, under the title "Jets Fan Chatter".
