FLORHAM PARK, NJ- It was a big night for the Florham Park Police Department as Officers Scott Bartell and Brian Ford were sworn in to their newly promoted positions and two new dispatchers joined the ranks. The meeting room was packed to the rafters with family, friends and well-wishers that showed up to support the four honorees and wish them luck in their new roles.

Scott Bartell was the first brought up to the spot and was sworn in to his new role of Detective Lieutenant. Brian Ford followed on Bartell’s heels and was named as Florham Park’s newest Detective Sergeant. Those gathered showed no reservation in their cheers of gratitude and congratulations for these two of Florham Park’s finest.

The candidates were all incredible this time around. Florham Park Mayor, Mark Taylor, expressed the difficulty of the council in choosing just one person for each position out of all the great members of the Florham Park Police Department.

“The nominations that were made were all excellent candidates,” Mayor Taylor said. “The people that we chose were the best of the bunch, but it is a very difficult process for the administrator, the mayor and the council liaison to do.”

In addition to the promotions, two new dispatchers were made a part of the Florham Park Police Department family. Daniel Fucito and Giana Salvatore were sworn in together and took their new places to additional applause from the crowd.
