FLORHAM PARK, NJ- Throughout the year, the Florham Park Recreation Department periodically hosts special teen nights including ice-skating, cooking classes, and movie nights. This year’s summer pool schedule was recently released.

Starting in July, the Recreation Department and Municipal Pool will be co-sponsoring four Friday nights at the Florham Park pool. All Florham Park residents in 7th through 12th grade are welcome to join in on the fun. The dates are as follows: July 8, July 22, August 12 and August 26.

There is a $5 entrance fee. Teens can enjoy a night of swimming, music from a live DJ, food, drinks, basketball, tetherball, volleyball and more. Each night will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Staff members from the Recreation Department, volunteers and pool lifeguards will all be on site to chaperone. All Teen Nights are free of alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

Parents and guardians are required to send permission in advance to recreation@fpboro.net. Also, teens are encouraged to send their song requests to recreation@fpboro.net.

Over the years, Teen Nights at the Florham Park pool have attracted an average of nearly 100 children per event. Teens are given exclusive access to the pool after closing, granting them the ability to swim, play games and socialize with friends.
