FLOURHAM PARK, NJ- As, Tuesday, July 4, 2017, quickly approaches, many start to wonder what they should do for the holiday. Go down the shore? Have a BBQ? Stay at home and relax? Well, for anybody who lives in or near Florham Park, you should be heading there for their 60th Annual Fourth of July Parade, Social Garden, and fireworks display!
Festivities will begin at 9 a.m. at Firehouse #1 on Brooklake Road where the parade’s opening ceremony will be held. The actual parade itself will begin at 9:30 a.m. The parade will conclude around noon at the Borough Hall Lawn, however, there will be a Family Picnic there starting at 10:30 a.m. There will also be a Social Garden for adults over 21 to enter going from noon until 3 p.m.
In the midst of enjoying some great food, drink, and family time, there will also be activities for the kids, including water slides so make sure you bring your bathing suit. At 11:45 a.m. there will be a presentation of parade trophies by Florham Park’s own Mayor Taylor, plus a re-dedication of Borough Hall. Lastly, the Little Red Schoolhouse Museum will be open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for anyone to go in and see the history of the 1800s and 1900s at their fingertips.
