Academic Journeys is offering a new way to prepare for college entrance exams, the ACT/SAT Summer Bootcamp.   Bootcamps start August 1 in Madison and Millburn.

Taking a summer SAT prep class is a rite of passage for students about to enter their junior year of high school.  Using the limited academic demands of summer to introduce the curriculum for college admissions tests, gives students the opportunity to understand the elements of the tests, strengths and weakness as assessed by the tests, and where to focus to maximize scores.

The recent changes made to the SAT align so closely to the content and style of the ACT that Academic Journeys offers a combined summer boot-camp for college admissions testing.  Perfect for juniors who are planning to test in the late fall*, winter and spring. Our class covers content (grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, algebra, geometry, numbers and operations, technical reading, data analysis) and skills (guessing, managing time, reducing calculator dependence).

Unique to Academic Journeys bootcamp is the personal plan each student will create at the end of the class.  The key pitfall to summer test prep classes is that students put the materials on the bookcase and dust begins to gather sob by the time the test date arrives the student may not achieve the scores possible if focus hadn’t slipped away.  The plan students are guided to create not only will keep skills fresh, but provide a model to self-manage for long term requirements; a skill needed throughout high school, college and careers!  Visit Academicjourneys.us for more information or call us at 973-564-5220.

MENTION TAP AND RECEIVE 20% OFF THE BOOTCAMP FEE FOR AN AUGUST SESSION.

*students planning to take test in early fall should take the bootcamp for the specific test they are taking
