FLORHAM PARK, N.J.- Girls on the Run of New Jersey East’s registration for the fall season is now open. Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that inspires girls in 3rd through 8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident. The volunteer-led program brings together groups of 8-20 girls for a ten-week program that encourages personal development, team building, and connection to the community.

Locally, the program will be offered at the Florham Park Elm Street Recreation Complex on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:45PM and at East Hanover's Central Elementary School on Wednesdays from 3:10-4:25PM and Saturdays from 9:45-11AM. The end of season 5K is hosted by the Florham Park PBA and will be held at Holy Family Church on Saturday, November 18.

“This has been such a positive program for our young girls in establishing confidence, communication, and learning how to be a lifelong encourager, supporter, and friend in good times and in times of stress, “ says local elementary school principal, Dr. Jo. “Our girls are learning that what is right is not always popular. What a wonderful way to learn life lessons and get fit in the meantime!”
