EAST HANOVER, NJ- Four of Hanover Park’s finest artists had their work selected to be shown in the Congressional Art Competition.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors the nationwide art competition to recognize artistic talent in high school students throughout congressional districts all around the country. The competition featuring Hanover Park’s students is sponsored by Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Since the program began as the Artistic Discovery competition in 1982, over 650,000 students have been recognized for their artistic prowess and accomplishment.

This year, Megan Canzonieri was admitted for her digital photography piece and Sarah Court and Valentina Mattfield for their pencil drawings. Jaclyn Larsen was additionally given and honorable mention for her digital photography submission. The competition will see the student’s pieces presented at the Morris Museum.
