EAST HANOVER, NJ- Lady Hornets basketball has enjoyed the spirited play of Alexa Bursese for the past four years.
She is usually the smallest player on the court, but that does not stop her from being an impact player. That was never more evident as she helped her team capture the North Jersey 2 Group 2 championship on March 6th, 2017. She led Hanover Park to a 47-30 victory over Hackettstown by scoring a game high 19 points.
Her ability to see the court and find her teammates is what she considers her greatest strength. The team was looking forward to a good season with four seniors in the starting line-up and with Alexa's help their record is 25-2.
She enjoys helping others and would like to have a career as a nurse practitioner. Loves going to the Jersey Shore for vacation and likes to watch football. Alexa does plan on attending college but has not made a decision on what school she will attend. Playing with this team and the success that it has had has made her senior year memorable. Also rewarding, was being part of the game that earned Coach Doug Wear his 300th career win.
