EAST HANOVER, N.J.Hanover Park sophmore basketball player Kyle Junda earned this weeks  title of Mary Comito State Farm Athlete of the WeekState. Earning back to back 23 point games vs Whippany Park on 2/21 and Ridgefield Park on 2/27, Junda scored 36 of those points from three point range in helping Hanover Park to victories in both games.  
                                                                                                                                                                                                      Junda  started playing basketball at an early age and his role model and coach has been his father. He is a twin, and his sister Brielle also plays on the girls basketball team at Hanover Park. He would like to be a business owner and be someone who helps others improve their lives.  Michigan ,Rutgers and Notre Dame are his favorite college teams, while his favorite professional team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Junda hopes to play either  basketball or football (he played Tight End this past fall) in college. His dream college is Michigan and he would like to vacation in Hawaii.                                              
 
Being part of a young team this past basketball season was a challenge and learning experience , with only one senior in the starting line-up, but the team played hard and finished with a 14-12 record. Junda averaged 10.5 points per  game and converted on 44 three point field goals for the season.
