EAST HANOVER, NJ- Previous athlete of the week award winners Eric Magnifico, Jaclyn Larsen and Ava Gammo have signed letters of acceptance to play their respective sports in college next year. Magnifico will attend Townson University in Maryland to play football, Jaclyn to play soccer at Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island and Ava Gammo for Basketball at Scranton in Pennsylvania.

The Lady Hornets continued their winning ways and improve to 15-1 with victories at home over Parsippany 41-27 and Villa Walsh 55-29 on senior night. Hanover Park built big leads at halftime in both game and were led by senior Alexa Petrozzino who scored 17 points on three three-pointers against Parsippany and Ava Gammo who recorded 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and eight steals versus Villa Walsh. Seniors Emily Seymour and Alexa Bursese also chipped in 10 and eight points in the senior night victory over Villa Walsh. Hanover Park is currently ranked in the top twenty teams for defense, allowing only 30 points a game. They are also the seventh ranked team in Group 2.

Hanover Park boys won there only game against Parsippany 78-45 as their record stands at 11-5, with a conference standing of 6-2. The offense was led once again by Joey Jandoli who scored 27 points and Matt Winschuh who tallied 25 points. Playmaker Michael Boeckel recorded 12 assist as the Hornets outscored the Redskins 46-24 in the 2nd half.                                                                                                                                                                                      Hanover Park wrestlers followed up there 2nd place finish in MCT with a victory in Dover on 2/1 60-15. The Hornets received pins from Senior Sean Conley 145 lbs, Jake Burese, Michael Rubin, and Justin Eveland. Hanover Park is currently undefeated in conference matches at 4-0 and have a season record of 13-4. The Number 10 ranked team in the state is looking forward to the upcoming regions and state schedule.
