EASTHANOVER, NJ- Hanover Park, ranked 10th in New Jersey, received first place finishes by Rory Deluca, 195lbs, and Dom DiFrancescantonio, 113lbs, to take second at the Morris County Tournament held in Mt. Olive this past weekend. Delbarton won the title for the ninth straight year with five individual titles.

Both Hornet’s wrestlers won their matches by scoring points in the last 30 seconds of the third period. Deluca trailed 2-1 late in the third, but gained a neutral to tie at the end of regulation. In Sudden Victory he scored a quick takedown to secure the 4-2 win. DiFrancescantonio also trailed in the third 2-0 and 3-2, but scored a two point takedown with less than half a minute remaining to earn the title 4-3.

Senior Lou Raimo battled in the 132lbs finials, but loss 3-1 in Sudden Victor.  Hanover Park  also received three third place finishes from Jake Bursese, 106lbs, Michael Rubin, 120lbs, and Sean Conley, 145lbs. Hanover Park also had a fifth place finish by Marco Zecca, 138lbs, and a sixth by Daniel Jimenez, 220 lbs. The Hornets were missing two of their top wrestlers Nick Raimo and Mat Liberato who missed the tournament due to injuries.
