Hanover Park Wrestling Coach Tyler Branham Looks Forward to Strong Season

EAST HANOVER, N.J.- Wrestling season is here. Hanover Park  head coach Tyler Branham took a moment to outline the season. 
This years coaching crew is made up of  Tyler Branham, James LaValle, Matt Meyerkopf. Graduated wrestlers  Lou Raimo, Rory Deluca, Marco Zecca, Giancarlo Dellanno will be missed, but returning wrestlers, Sophmore Jake Bursese (106), Junior Dom DiFrancescantonio (126), Junior Nick Raimo (132), Senior Michael Rubin (138), Senior Sean Conley (145), Senior Matt Liberato (152/160), Junior Nick Zarra (160/170), Senior Sebastian Bassolino (170/182), Sophmore Luca Birnbaum (195), Senior Dan Jimenez (220), are more than ready. In-coming Freshman include, Dom Mancini (106), Joe Oliveiri (113), Dom Merola (120), Dan Gregory (195), Mason Lazorchak (HWT).
Branham explained,  "After winning league and sectional titles last season, we came up just short of our goal of winning the Group 2 state falling to Delaware Valley by 2 points.  Although we lost some key pieces in state place-winner Lou Raimo and state qualifier Rory DeLuca, we have a strong group of senior leaders and some promising freshmen coming up."  He added, "In addition we have Arizona State commit and returning state champion, Nick Raimo coming back along with Beast of the East place winner, Dom DiFrancescanio, both Juniors."  "We look to be competing for sectional and group titles again this year, and also hope to have many individual state placers down in Atlantic Ciy." 
 Big matches and tournaments this year include season opener, Beast of the East (12/16-12/17), Kittatinny (12/23), Henry Boresch Duals at Newton HS (1/6), Roxbury (1/9), Escape the Rock (1/13-1/14) and Phillipsburg
