EAST HANOVER, N.J.- Hanover Park Girls Soccer varsity midfielder Claire Cahill is the Mary Comito State Farm Athlete of the Week. Cahill, a junior, is a three year letter winner and  was the second leading scorer (8 goals, 6 assists) on the North Jersey Section 2 Group 2 Champion Hanover Park girls soccer team.

She was one of key players who helped the Lady Hornets in their ball-control offense, and lock down defense. Cahill has been playing soccer since she was 5 and also plays club soccer for STA. She is looking forward to continuing Hanover Parks soccer success with a group 2 title next season.                                                                She also hopes to continue playing soccer in college and feels her strengths are her ability to score off of corner kicks and send accurate passes for scoring chances.

Cahill was named to the Liberty Division conference 2nd team. She attributes the team success to the fact that most of them have played together since middle school,  that the team had a tireless work ethic, and they were also friends off of the field .
