Chairman Arango’s first order of business was to appoint his two Vice Chairs.  He appointed Chairwoman Laura Marie Ali, of Morris County who is also a small business owner that specializes in digital sales and marketing.  He also appointed Chairwoman Linda DuBois of Salem County.  Chairwoman DuBois also chairs the NJ Farmers association.

This is the second time Arango has served as the Chair of Chairs.  His previous term consisted of four years of him leading the group, before Cape May’s Republican Chairman Marcus Karavan assumed the role in 2018.

Chairman Arango has a distinguished track record of success.  He was one of four Republicans to win State Assembly seats from Hudson County in the 1985 Kean re-election landslide. He was elected at age 28, ousting incumbent Robert Ranieri (D-Hoboken) and his running mate, Mario Hernandez.  He currently serves as the Economic Development Director for Jersey City.
