MONTVILLE, NJ – The New Jersey Association of Learning Consultants presents a lecture on “Using the Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses Model to Diagnose Specific Learning Disabilities and Other Disorders,” to be presented on Oct. 4 at 4:30 p.m. at the Columbia Inn in Montville. Dinner will be provided.
Steven Korner, Ph.D will be presenting information to help us better understand the pattern of strengths and weaknesses model to diagnose specific learning disabilities and other disorders. Dr. Korner will keep us sitting on the edge of our seats with all the knowledge he will be sharing with us, including executive function and how it affects learning.
Dr. Korner earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and has been appointed to many positions. He has either published or presented more than 45 papers and was editorial consultant for several journals. Dr. Korner is currently spearheading an initiative to revise the special education code in New Jersey by adding the federally approved third option with collaboration between the New Jersey Psychological Association, the New Jersey Association of Learning Disability Teacher Consultants, and the Learning Disability Association of New Jersey where he is a member of the advisory board.
