Local Athletes Head to College for Football Season

EAST HANOVER, N.J.- Its the time of year when newly graduated high school football players have packed their bags and are headed to their new team, their new home and their new football family. Precision Sports Performance in East Hanover has sent many to the collegiate grid iron. This spring, three strong young men, met for a work out as they prepared to transition from high school to college football. Three year, Pope John starter,  and PSP athlete since they opened in 2016, Ty Hyranicka was named to the All United White Division both at quarterback in 2017 and linebacker in 2017. He finished with 61 tackles, three sacks and an interception. He will take the field at Lafayette. Hranicka says he will miss the brotherhood of Pope John football.

Another "Johnnie" Ryan Greenhagen, will take the field at Fordham this fall. Greenhagen is a career outside linebacker with 157 tackle four sacks and two interceptions. He was also named to the All United White Division team. 

Hanover Park offense and defensive tackle, three year starter Kyle Rinsky is also headed to Fordham for camp this season. He was named  All Conference, All Morris county, Group 2 selection and was mentioned in the top 100 players in the state. His greatest memory as a hornet was beating long time rival, Madison in 2017.

Both teams will meet at Fordham in October .

Freeholders Approve 21 Historic Preservation Grants Including Florham Park and Hanover Township Properties

The Morris County Board of Freeholders unanimously approved $2.2 million in county historic preservation grants to be financed by the county’s 2018 Preservation Trust Fund to help preserve, restore, or protect historic sites in 16 towns across Morris County.
