Mary Comito State Farm Athlete of the Week Hanover Park Softball Stand Out Amy Petrovich

EAST HANOVER, N.J.-Hanover Park senior second baseman Amy Petrovich, a four year varsity softball player is this week's Mary Comito State Farm Athlete of the Week. Last week, Petrovich collected her 150th hit in the MCT final. In her career at HP she has 150 hits, and over 100 runs scored and runs batted in. She will be attending Scared Heart College in Connecticut next fall on a softball scholarship. Petrovich   also excelled in the classroom earning distinguished honor in all marking periods at Hanover Park.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Besides playing softball Amy likes to watch "Friends" on Netflix, football and the N Y Yankees. Her sister is her role model and being a Public Relations Specialist would be the perfect dream job.   "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" is her favorite quote and a pet peeve is "slow walkers". Amy has been part of the N J Pride club softball team for ten years and is currently on the N J Pride 18u-Easton team that travels all over the country to play in tournaments.  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                   So far this season Petrovich has over 30 hits, including eleven doubles, six triples and three home runs.  She drove in 30 runs, stole 14 bases and is batting over .500, and should finish with over 125 rbi's  in her four years at Hanover Park.
