EAST HANOVER, NJ- Ashley Chen is only getting started. This young lady finished her freshman year at Hanover Park and is moving up to being a sophomore in the Fall. In her first year there, she was a part of four clubs including the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), the jazz band, and Hanover Park’s literature magazine called the “Hornet’s Sting”.
She also got second chair overall in the ninth grade for a regional band that was outside the high school. She plays alto sax. She has been playing since the fourth grade, being in band and jazz band at Hanover Park. She has been into music since then.
She plans on doing a science program over the summer. From there, she doesn’t really know yet. She said in an in-person interview that she doesn’t know her dream job yet, or what her plans are after high school. However, she is still so young with so much ahead of her.
