EAST HANOVER, NJ- Junior Amy Petrovich has been in inspired form for the Hanover Park ladies softball team and has a .500 batting average for the season.
Hanover Park has played 15 games, with a 13-2 record, and Amy has 25 RBIs on 23 hits. What is even more amazing is that 15 of her hits have gone for extra bases with 8 doubles, 5 triples and 2 Home Runs. This is her third year on varsity and she is closing in on 100 career hits.
Amy has already been offered a scholarship to play at Sacred Heart in Connecticut after she graduates from high school and her commitment to softball is all year round. She is member of the Pride Elite Club team which has played in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Colorado. Her sister also plays softball as a freshman at Stockton University and has been a role model for Amy.
Being a part of a team that has a good mixture of under and upper classmen has Amy very excited as they continue their quest to win their conference and advance far into the state tournament game. Also, besides her accomplishments on the field, she has obtained distinguished honors every marking period at Hanover Park.
