LONG VALLEY, NJ – Meadowbrook Country Day Camp has announced that Marty Lamport of Califon, NJ has been promoted to assistant director of the day camp, which offers a full-day traditional day camp experience to children ages 3-15, with a travel program for those entering grades 7, 8 and 9. Lamport previously held the position of administrative director. This will be her 11th year at the camp.

“It’s hard to find people that are beyond passionate about what they do, but that is what we have found in Marty,” said Meadowbrook Country Day Camp’s Owner/Directors George Stein of Westchester County, NY and Dan Millman of Springfield, NJ.

“Anyone who knows her realizes that she’s much, much more than that,” said Stein.

“Marty has been at the ‘front lines’ for many years now being the chief resource for many of our parents in terms of questions and concerns,” said Stein. “It makes complete sense for her to be anointed at this time as an assistant director as she is involved at the highest levels of decision making for camp.”

Millman added, “Marty is vital to the culture of our camp and it’s quite evident to us that her talents, commitment and passion for Meadowbrook are unparalleled.”

“Marty is one of the primary reasons that Meadowbrook is considered to be one of the premier camps in Northern NJ,” he said.

“As the Director of Meadowbrook since 2003, I have learned to depend of Marty over the past ten years and I am very excited to continue to do so as she becomes Meadowbrook’s Assistant Director,” added Rich Sherer of Marlboro, NJ.

Meadowbrook Country Day Camp is an American Camping Association (ACA) accredited Day Camp located on a 50-acre wooded campus in Long Valley, just outside of Chester. Meadowbrook’s day camp program serves children ages 3-15, with a travel program for those entering grades 7, 8 and 9.

The camp provides door-to-door transportation on air-conditioned mini-buses serving Morris, Essex, Union, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset counties. Meadowbrook also offers before care and after care from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
