DENVILLE, N.J. - Morris County sophomores considering a trade instead of college might want to attend an upcoming information session about the Morris County School of Technology's "Share Time" program.
At the session, on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria, interested sophomores and their families can learn about the 2-year, half-day Share Time programs which provided daily career and technical education training as part of junior and senior year high school program.
Students and parents will be able to tour the tech school's facilities and get information about applying, said the MCST in a press release.
MCST offers Share Time programs for Auto Body Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Carpentry, Fundamentals of Building & Grounds Maintenance, Fundamentals of Food Services, Fundamentals of Retail & Supermarket Careers, Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing (in partnership with County College of Morris), Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Cosmetology, Electrical Trades, Plumbing and Pipefitting, and Machining and Welding Technologies.
Students in 10th Grade can apply online at www.mcvts.org under Admissions>Application Form> Share Time Programs tabs. The application deadline is February 17, 2017. For additional information, they can call the MCST at (973) 627-4600 ext.277.
