MORRISTOWN, NJ- Morristown resident, Zachary Zingale, has been arrested on charges related to the TD Bank robbery at 217 South Street in Morristown this past Friday.

Law enforcement was notified of the robbery at approximately 10:00 a.m. on the morning of the 16th. Investigation showed that a male had entered the bank, threatened the use of a gun, demanded money and fled the scene in a vehicle with a sum of money taken from the bank. Shortly after the robbery, Zingale was found near the bank and attempted to flee on foot. He was subsequently brought in by the Morristown Bureau of Police.

Morristown County Prosecutor, Fredric Knapp, and Morristown Bureau of Police Chief, Peter Demnitz, announced the arrest of Zingale. The 30-year-old is now being charged with one count of robbery, one count of theft and one count of resisting arrest. However, the Prosecutor’s Officer urges that the charges and allegations are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
