Mt. Pleasant to Hold Adoption Day This Weekend

HANOVER, NJ- Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter will continue their forty-plus year tradition of holding adoption days to help pets find their forever homes. It will be held on Saturday, July 29, at the Powerhouse Fitness Center in Whippany on Route 10 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This will be their second adoption day event at Powerhouse, as they held one during the grand-opening in 2016. However, this isn’t the only adoption day that will be held this year. According to Abby Berenbak, Executive Director at Mt. Pleasant, “A lot of local businesses like us to come out and we do outreach and adoption events at those businesses.”

The events can be big and extravagant, like the one they do with local radio station 105.5 WDHA, or they can be small and intimate, like the one they will be doing with Powerhouse on Saturday. During an over-the-phone interview, Christine Conte, Outreach Coordinator at Mt. Pleasant, revealed they will have a table at the event with information about the shelter and adoptable dogs with them, as well. She’s hoping “someone will be looking for a running buddy or outdoor fitness pal and will want to take them home.”

If you would like to learn more about Mt. Pleasant or any events they are having, you can visit their website or contact Abby at Again, their next adoption day is this Saturday, July 29, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Powerhouse Fitness Center on Route 10 in Whippany.
