Nonna's Italian Restaurant Gets Special Visit Monday

FLORHAM PARK, NJ - There is no one who knows New Jersey eats like Peter Genovese. Writer, NJ Advance Media, author of several books, food seeker, and the undisputed champion of grading Garden State grub, will visit Nonna's Italian Restaurant Monday, as they have landed among 50 semi-finalists in New Jersey's Best Pizzeria.

Of the 50 semifinalists, 24 were voted in by readers and fans, with votes totalling over 45,000. The other 26 were chosen by Genovese himself, from reader recommendations. For years the feature writer for The Star Ledger made mouths water all over New Jersey describing delicacies from start to finish and then invited readers a to secure a coveted chance to join one of his foodful adventures on the Munchmobile. Now, Genovese dines among the people, in the trenches, at the diners and with the foodies, in search of the best of every dish and delight New Jersey has to offer, chronicling every taste-overloaded moment on social media.

This is not his first visit to one of Florham Park's finest. In 2009, Genovese' Pizza Patrol made it to Nonna's. Ordering in "packed place", he and his eating crew brought the pie "into the parking lot" and   was quoted " this is one of the best we have had so far".
