EAST HANOVER, NJ- Joe Gorga, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, will be opening his own Italian restaurant called Gorga’s Homemade Pasta and Pizza in East Hanover.

Gorga looks to splash into the robust Italian cuisine scene in the township, leaning on his business prowess and determination to light the way. He has shown these qualities before through his built-from-the-ground-up construction company, which his wife Melissa helped him to create, and the home that Gorga built himself. He is your typical Italian man. He’s smart. He’s strong. He’s hard-working. But, most of all, he’s stubborn and has a temper. I’m an Italian woman with an older brother and father. I’ve seen it!

Gorga is a Giants fan and he loves promoting RHONJ (which, according to Bravo’s website, has been signed on for season 8). This makes me wonder what the inside of the restaurant is going to look like. Are the walls going to be lined with Giants memorabilia? Are there going to be pictures of him with his wife, his sister (Teresa Giudice), and the cast of RHONJ? We are just going to have to wait and see.

According to Vicki Hyman of NJ.com, the address is going to be 360 Route 10 West in East Hanover. It will be across from Castle Ridge (the plaza housing Michaels, Tuesday Morning, and Best Buy).

There is no official date as of yet, but, according to Hyman, it should be opening in May. The minute I know, I will be there trying some pizza and (if they offer it) tortellini alfredo. Mr. Gorga, if you are reading this, I would love to learn more about how this idea came to be. Let’s talk!
