MADISON, NJ – St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center of Madison will receive another group of shelter animals today, this time to make room in Puerto Rico for those impacted by Hurricane Maria.

Animals are scheduled to land at Morristown Municipal Airport at approximately 8:30 p.m., then transported to the St. Hubert’s Madison campus at 575 Woodland Ave., where they will be triaged, vaccinated and treated before being transferred to sister adoption facilities across the Northeast.

The airlift is a joint effort of St. Hubert’s and the Humane Society of the United States, who in the past few months have worked together to transport more than 200 dogs and cats out of areas devastated by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
