STAFFORD - You have probably noticed the beautiful changes that are visible from Route 72 eastbound on the campus of the Holiday Inn located on Route 72 in Manahawkin.  Maybe you are one of those who have recently visited the Mainland Beer Garden or gone on a tour of the property with one of the employees?

As a boy growing up on Long Beach Island, Christopher Vernon, spent endless hours among the coastal bays and beaches. Even then, he dreamed of owning a piece of the shore and sharing with others his love of the area’s beauty and serenity. Vernon is the man who built and developed the incredible Bonnet Island Estate, the Mallard Island Yacht Club and the Stateroom.  The Stateroom is located at the site of the former Quarter Deck Inn.

His company, Mercer Management has plans to announce a new and exciting update to the Stateroom property at the hub of the entrance to LBI.

All of these Weddings of Distinction venues are a labor of love, a fulfillment of a dream, a realization of a vision, a tribute to history and an adoration of nature.  The landscaping at all of the properties are filled with plants, grass and wonderful designs.
These distinguished wedding venues combine the luxury of the present with the elegance of the past and are reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era offering a combination of historic grandeur and the modern amenities of today.

Vernon has also built four hotels in Hamilton and Robbinsville, NJ and has also recently built a luxury housing complex for students attending Rider University and The College of New Jersey. He is the the owner and President of Mercer Management and Development Inc., a real estate development and management company that also specializes in distressed properties since 1983.

Mr. Vernon is as humble as he is successful.  He would not comment on his business accomplishments when asked by this reporter. His team are loyal and committed workers. That is a key for success.  Chris was very hospitable and thankful for TAPinto's tour of the fantastic new Holiday Inn property.  Vernon bought the property in March and the upgrades are significant.  Special thanks to Stephen Babbitt for a great tour of the "New" Holiday Inn and Mainland.
