MORRISTOWN, NJ - There’s a new buzz in town as word spreads about the Y-Zone Club that promises to be the new adventure destination for middle school youth in grades 6 to 8.

Opening September 6, 2016 the Y Zone Club is a place for middle schoolers to thrive as they engage in intramural team sports, confidence-building activities, explore their creativity or just chill with their friends after a structured day at school.

Fun and fitness will abound as sixth through eighth graders pursue current interests and discover new ones in a supervised, semi-structured atmosphere.

Indoor and outdoor activities include movie premier day, music appreciation, snack shack, gaga world and Giant Jenga. Ping pong, air hockey, volleyball and dance contests will add to exciting afternoons at the Y-Zone Club.

The Y-Zone Club is located at The Greater Morristown Youth Annex, 25 Saddle Road in Cedar Knolls, a brand new 6,000 square foot facility with a basketball gym and two bright and cheery activity rooms on a tree-lined cul-de-sac. Three acres of park-like grounds promise outdoor excitement with sports fields, a gaga pit and a ropes course.

The Youth Annex is already home to Y-Zone Camp, a brand new experience where over 450 children are participating in its inaugural summer.

Y-Zone Club is offered Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm; Fridays from 3:00pm to 8:00pm through May 31st and Saturdays (Sept. to Nov. only) from 3:00pmto 5:00pm.

Middle schoolers can participate in the Y-Zone Club as many days a week as they wish for one low monthly fee. Transportation to the Y-Zone Club may be available.

According to Carol Armour, CEO of the Y, “The Greater Morristown YMCA has always recognized the importance of engaging youth in positive and healthy ways with programs designed around their diverse needs and interests.” Adding, “The Y-Zone will provide a safe, sound and fun-filled environment for middle school students.”
