Ankle and Foot Injuries for Athletes

Foot and ankle injuries are very common for active people and all types of athletes.  As sports specialization increases, and extended practice hours and participation on multiple teams become commonplace at a younger age, the risk of injury or developing an ongoing condition becomes greater. Learn about common foot and ankle injuries and the treatments available for these conditions, in this presentation.

The speaker is Andre D. Ross, DPM , who specializes in podiatry, with a focus on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Ross has extensive experience with foot and ankle trauma, deformity correction including flatfoot/cavus (high arch) reconstruction and arthritis of the foot and ankle. He holds multiple certifications in total ankle replacement surgery. He treats a variety of sports-related injuries including Achilles tendon ruptures, ankle ligament injuries, and osteochondral lesions utilizing minimally invasive techniques such as arthroscopy and tendoscopy. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is certified by the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

This program is presented in partnership with the Summit Medical Group, and is free and open to all.
