MORRISTOWN, NJ - Freshii, a new restaurant in Morris Plains held their Grand Opening on Saturday November 2.
Freshii focuses on providing healthy food at affordable prices. There are seven different categories on their menu: bowls, burritos, salads, wraps, soups, smoothies and juices.
Mike Renga, first time customer at Freshii, ordered the Budha’s Satay which consisted of rice noodles, crispy wontons, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, green onions, and spicy peanut sauce.
Freshii owner Greg Lahr, explained the process from getting the idea, researching, and experiencing the grand opening of his new restaurant.
Greg and his wife were working in Ohio; he was a lawyer and she was a merchandiser. After they had eaten at a Freshii restaurant, they began to talk about bringing the Freshii franchise to the Northeast.
Lahr explained that they started researching different areas to determine the best location for their first restaurant. They both agreed that RT 10 in Morris Plains was a great place because of all the commuter traffic each day, he said. They recruited Greg's brother, Ryan to run the restaurant.
"The first Freshii location on RT 10 is just the beginning", said Lahr. "We hope to continue to open several more Freshii restaurants in the Northeast in the future".
Have you tried Freshii? The restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner is located at 1767 Route 10 in Morris Plains.
