Tornado Watch for Morris County; Friday May 20

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ -  A storm is expected to hit the Morris County area today, Friday May 20, announced the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.  The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook and a Tornado Watch until 7pm for the Morris County area.

"We may experience strong to severe storms later this afternoon", said the weather authority.

SUMMIT, NJ - One person has died, and another victim was flown by Medevac helicopter to an area trauma center after a mid-afternoon crash on Eastbound Route 24 near Hobart Road in Summit, according to the City of Summit Fire Department (SFD).

The SFD, at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, responded to a report of a multiple vehicle accident on Route 24 East near Hobard Road.
