FLORHAM PARK, NJ - There is good news coming from Florham Park's schools. They were the recipients of excellent awards deserving of congratulations! See the description of the awards below.
A. Briarwood School - No Place For Hate Congratulations to the Briarwood School for being designated Gold Star 2019-20 status as a No Place For Hate school. The Anti Defamation League’s No Place for Hate initiative is a school climate improvement framework that provides PreK-12 schools with an organizing framework for combating bias, bullying and hatred, leading to long-term solutions for creating and maintaining a positive and equitable climate. A special kudos to Briarwood Counselor, Mrs. Erica D’Aries, and Principal Heimple for spearheading this initiative. Congrats Briarwood School!
B. Brooklake School - No Place For Hate Congratulations to the Brooklake School for being recognized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as one of the top fundraising schools per capita in NJ, receiving 3rd place, as well as being recognized as the top fundraising schools in NJ overall, receiving 14th place. In addition, Mrs. Cheryl Benstein, Brooklake’s School Counselor, was also awarded the “Most Creative Coordinator ” in NJ by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for her work with Pennies for Patients. Congrats to Mrs. Bernstein and to Brooklake School!!
C. Ridgedale School - NAMM Music Merit Award Congratulations to the Ridgedale School for being awarded the SupportMusic Merit Award. To be awarded this honor, the school had to answer detailed questions about funding, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, and support for the music programs. Congrats to our RMS music department staff, Mr. Leone and Mrs. Paulson, as well as to our feeder music programs operated in BWD and BKL School by Mr. Serfoso and Mr. Hipwell.
