Born and raised in Florham Park, Mayor Mark Taylor has been a family man and public servant his whole life. Following growing up in Florham Park, Taylor decided to stay in Florham Park with his wife of 30 years and his 2 children.
Mark Taylor, the son of Mickey and Frank Taylor, was born and raised in Florham Park and currently reside in Florham Park. He raised a family with his wife Janet of 30 years. In those 30 years, the Taylors raised 2 kids, Erin, and Christopher who are now 24 and 21.
As a councilman since 2006 and a member of the Florham Park Jaycees since 2004, Taylor was the President of the Jaycees and was named National President of the Year in 2005. Also, a member of the Board of Directors of the Morris County League of Municipalities, as well as the Florham Park Rotary and the Sons American Legion, post 43. As a well-rounded leader and family man from the community, he always puts the community before himself.
Since elected Mayor, Taylor has taken care of the town he loves so well by introducing ordinances for the benefit of the residents, that has lead to the second lowest tax rates in Morris County.
- Florham Park has also been the winner of the AAA Bond rating which only 16 NJ towns hold and recently became debt free, also being recognized for one of the best business plans for a town.
- Mayor Taylor worked closely with the FP BOE and Trenton to raise the Board of Education funding that lead to a 13% increase.
