WHIPPANY, NJ - Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council will be honoring local community members at the Boy Scouts of America 23rd Annual Morris County Lifetime Achievement Awards Dinner to be held on the evening of April 19 at The Hanover Marriott in Whippany at 6:30 pm.  This year’s honorees are Reynaldo Caudillo, Bruce Jones, Michael Lupton, Ron Morano, Lou Nisivoccia, and John Sette.

The event recognizes these six outstanding citizens for their community service, as evidenced by their leadership and interests within the Morris County community, and for their embodiment of the values of the century old Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives. The event chair and master of ceremonies is Paul Boudreau, President, Morris County Chamber of Commerce.

Reynaldo Caudillo is President Emeritus of the Morris County Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership, the Chamber was recognized by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as the best medium sized Chamber in the U.S. He participated in the Leadership Morris program and served on various boards, including the Visiting Health Services, Pre School Advantage, Morristown Neighborhood House, Morris Tomorrow, the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs and Cornerstone Family Services of Morris County.

 Bruce Jones is the President of the Morristown Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving over 2,500 members in northern, New Jersey. In the LDS church, he has served in many positions, including youth Sunday school teacher, Scoutmaster, Bishop’s counselor, president of priesthood quorums, and early-morning seminary teacher for high school students. From 2004 to 2006, Bruce and his wife, Jennifer took a sabbatical from the business to volunteer as missionaries. Bruce is the estate and insurance specialist at Precision Financial Services and the President of BJ Associates, an insurance agency founded in 1984. He serves as a member of the President’s Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council.

Michael Lupton is active in The Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Morris Alumni Committee, and is a football and lacrosse coach for the Maplewood-South Orange Pop Warner Youth league. Additionally, he is on the Boards of Community Hope and Morris Arts. He has been a “BIG” for a number of years in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern NJ. Michael began his finance career as a Corporate Bond Trader for J.P Morgan, trading bank, finance and insurance company bonds. He later joined Lehman Brothers as a Municipal Bond Product Specialist. Michael currently works for Wells Fargo Advisors, where he is the head of the Wayne, New Jersey branch.

Ron Morano is senior communications representative for FirstEnergy Corp. and serves as the spokesman and public information officer for Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) in Morristown. He is also an adjunct instructor of communications at Bergen Community College in Paramus, a position he has held since 1985. He is a graduate of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Morris Program, a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Press Association, a Trustee of the New Jersey Press Foundation, a member the Employment Horizons Community Advisory Board, the Cornerstone Family Services Corporate Leadership Council and Communications Working Group and the Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Haskell, Parish Council. Ron also volunteers each year as the announcer for the annual Saint Francis Parish Carnival and is the host and moderator for the annual Leadership Morris Media Relations panel.

Lou Nisivoccia is the founder and managing director of Nisivoccia Consulting LLC and has been in the information technology field for over twenty years. Lou serves as President of the Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce and a member several boards and committees including the First Bank Advisory Board, the Randolph Economic Development Committee, the Randolph Recreation Advisory Committee, the Randolph Township Advisory Environmental and Landmark Committee, the Randolph Township Free Public Library Board of Trustees, the Morris County Airport Advisory Committee, and the Salvation Army Advisory Board. He has served as Past President of The 200 Club of Morris County, Past President of the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Mount Olive Economic Development Committee, a member of the Sacred Heart School Education Council, and a member of the Roxbury Rotary.

John Sette is President of Lohman Associates Inc., which is a distributor of plastic resins.  He has worked his entire career in the plastic industry forming Hanover Plastics Corporation in 1974 and purchasing Premium Plastics Corporation with three partners before selling the business in 1988. John was a Morris County freeholder from 1989 to 1991.  He volunteers for many organizations including being a founding member and Chair of the Morris County Sherriff’s Crime Stoppers program, Chairman of the Morris County Republican Victory PAC, Commissioner of the New Jersey Police Training Commission, and Chair of the New Jersey Sherriff’s Political Action Committee; he was pervious chair of the Morris County Republican Committee from 2001 to 2016 and previous commissioner of the Morris County Board of Elections from 1994 to 2016.  John has been a member of the Daytop new Jersey Board of Directors since 1991 and currently serves as board chair.

Morris County is a part of the Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America which serves 16,500 youth in over 400 Scouting units in communities like ours throughout Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex, and Union Counties.

Freeholders Approve 21 Historic Preservation Grants Including Florham Park and Hanover Township Properties
